Almabet is committed to keeping the platform safe and fair.

What Is Money Laundering?

Money laundering is the process of hiding the illegal origin of funds, often by moving them through complex financial systems to make them appear legitimate. It may involve transferring, concealing, or using money gained through criminal activities.
To fight money laundering, Almabet follows strict internal procedures and applies the following measures:

  • Appointing an AML Compliance Officer (AMLCO) to oversee all AML-related actions;
  • Operating under the supervision of the Anjouan regulatory authority;
  • Monitoring financial transactions for suspicious activity;
  • Implementing multi-step user verification;
  • Verifying the source of deposited and withdrawn funds;
  • Following international AML standards, including EU guidelines;
  • Educating staff to detect and prevent AML risks.

AML Objectives

We want to ensure our platform remains safe, fair, and trusted by everyone. Our Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policy helps prevent illegal money from being used on our site and stops links to fraudulent financing. Here’s what our company focuses on:

  • Complying with both local laws and global AML standards worldwide;
  • Verifying each user’s identity to reduce fraud and misuse;
  • Monitoring transactions to detect suspicious activity;
  • Applying additional safety measures depending on how and where users make payments or request withdrawals;
  • Collaborating closely with legal authorities if anything unusual occurs;
  • Assigning AML responsibilities to our management team and a dedicated AML Compliance Officer (AMLCO);
  • Adhering to the rules of our official gambling license from the Government of the Autonomous Island of Anjouan.

Verification Steps for Users

To keep the Almabet platform secure and fair for everyone, all users must go through a simple verification process. The process depends on your activity level and involves up to three steps.
The first-level verification includes:

  1. Register on our website or via the Almabet app for Android and iOS by filling in the sign-up form.
  2. Proceed to the basic identity check in your profile section, which is generally required before making withdrawals.
  3. Complete a basic verification form with your details, including full name, date of birth, gender, country of residence, and full address.

The second level of account verification is required if your deposits or withdrawals exceed 172,040 INR. You’ll be asked to upload a photo of your official ID alongside a paperclip with a six-digit number. We’ll also run an electronic check to confirm your Step One information. If this check fails, a government-issued proof of residence will be required.
The third-level and last possible account verification will be necessary for transaction amounts over 430,100 INR, or sending more than 258,060 INR to another balance. You’ll need to provide a valid document showing your source of wealth.
Below is a list of the documents required for verification:

  • Completed personal info form;
  • Government-issued photo ID (passport, national ID, etc.);
  • Proof of address (utility bill or certificate of residence, if needed);
  • Source of wealth documentation for step three.

Know Your Customer (KYC) Requirements

At the Almabet gaming and betting site, we follow a strict Know Your Customer (KYC) policy to make sure every user is who they say they are. This helps us protect your account, meet legal obligations, and prevent fraud or misuse of our platform. To complete KYC, users must meet the following requirements:

  • Provide a clear copy of a valid ID (passport, national ID, or driver’s license);
  • Show the ID next to a handwritten note with six randomly generated numbers;
  • Submit a second photo showing the user’s face;
  • Ensure the ID shows all four corners and is fully readable;
  • Keep only essential data visible: full name, date of birth, nationality, gender, and photo;
  • Additional personal details may be requested depending on the case;
  • Documents must be submitted in good quality, without edits or obstructions;
  • Almabet staff may perform further manual checks if necessary.

Monitoring and Reporting Suspicious Activities

Within our service, your security is our top priority, and we actively monitor all account activity to prevent financial abuse. Our ongoing monitoring helps us detect suspicious behaviour, spot unusual transactions, and ensure all actions align with your verified profile. We apply a multi-layered approach to this process:

  • We work only with trusted payment providers that follow strict AML protocols;
  • All transactions are automatically scanned using risk-based systems and cross-checked manually by trained staff;
  • Any unusual or unexplained activity is flagged for further review;
  • Our AML Compliance Officer and team investigate suspicious transactions and decide on next steps, including reporting to the authorities if needed;
  • In cases where funds or actions cannot be tied to a legitimate source, we may suspend the account or terminate our business relationship.

If a transaction appears suspicious, our AML team follows detailed internal procedures to assess it. Depending on the outcome, we may submit a formal report to the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU). In serious cases, we may also end our relationship with the user to prevent any further risk.

Customer Data Protection

Almabet treats your personal and financial data with the care it deserves. We use strict data protection protocols to make sure everything you share with us stays confidential and secure.
Your data is never sold or shared with third parties, unless legally required or in cases related to anti-money laundering investigations. We fully comply with the Data Protection Directive (Directive 95/46/EC) and regularly audit our systems to uphold the highest security standards.
